Man unless they do a massive stylistic u-turn with GTA V and go back to the work of art that was the GTA 3 Trilogy I couldn't really care about this announcement. If they were teasing me with an upcoming trailer for Red Dead Remortgaged (it might not be called that scratch ) it would be a different matter.

The only way the plot of that game could have been any better is if there was a love triangle with a girl with massive breasts and half way through an androgynous man killed the other girl with a sword through the spine.

I really looking forward to this game - but i think since i seen what you can do with the GTA IV engine (eNHancer) they really have to do a big bang in graphics otherwise no one will be impressed.

Seems unlikely that they would make a GTA set around that time after just releasing L.A Noire. Lot's of people claiming the 5 dollar bill thing is a reference to Washington DC (Five dollar bill > Abraham Lincoln > Lincoln Memorial > DC) but that seems tenuous as well.

There are also rumours it'll be London as Rockstar made a recent casting call for a lot of British actors or LA because of some artwork but that was more likely to do with Midnight Club than GTA.

i'd say london as the style of the 5 with the webbing effect on it is on british notes (thats what im hoping it is as if they'd followed the course of the original gta games after the first 3 (set after the map's from the original game) then technically gta 4 should have been london anyway). we can only hope though.

The style of the V is definitely a reference to the american five dollar bill, so I don't think London is the most likely candidate. Knowing Rockstar they are probably going to want to take the piss out of the current economic crisis and that probably means boom time America. Washington or LA in the 80's would be my guess.

Not very interested in a new GTA, GTA IV went into such an odd direction after VC and SA, and became way too "serious". Saint's Row 2 was a better game than GTA4 (shame about the terrible PC port), IMO. I have like 4x the playtime on SR2 that I have on GTA4.

But still, will see about that there trailer. Doubt the game releases any time soon (holidays 2012?) either, so there's plenty of time to enjoy SR3. What a Face
