Anybody getting this? I know bf is coming soon, but thought I'd pick this up on the 6th.

Some gameplay from TB.

I loved Red Orchastra as it was still a Mod and for free. And i played a lot of it. Never bothered to pay Money for it and the only thing stopping me from getting RO2 instantly is the kinda big price for it. I don't know if they have a Single Player Campaign, in which I'm not interested in all, but 30 Bucks seems a bit steep to me. Especially with all the big Titles coming out.
If it was 20 bucks or less I would buy it hands down!

Maybe I'm missing out 'cause the MP looks nice again but hey i need the moneys...

I have preordered this game on steam, though I fear I might play this as much as the previous Red Orchestra (which was not alot).

its well worth the money... trust me... ive played the old one (that you payed for) extensively and its awsome... and the new one looks to be all that and more

only thing that killed off my interest in the old one a bit was the fact that most servers only ran tank battle maps... (towards the end that is)

EDIT: oh and if you didnt understand from my praise of the game, ive preordered it... it will be taking up most of my spare time until SW:TOR is out...

What's so special about Red Orchestra 2? It looks just like a better version of Day of Defeat: Source, and that game wasn't particularly good.

First gameplay thoughts: Loved it. The weapons feel like how they should, the hit detection is awesome, the actual hardcore feel (1 shot chest and above) is amazing.

Pros!
-Awesome Firefights/Wep Physics.
-Awesome type of game for teamwork.
-Awesome Map design, great for flanking/sneakiness.
-Other shit, but to tired to think.

Cons?
-Takes a while to get used to that type of playstyle
-^Furthered, its hard to distinguish foe from friend until you learn to check for certain things.
-Only allows 1 sniper on teams (even on 32v32 server), more of a personal thing because, i'm a sniper.
-Alot of tk's, intentional and accidental.

Yeah, one sniper is a good thing...

and dont forget that someone can pick up your kit after you die, making it two snipers Very Happy
at least until that other guy dies hehehe...

but, with a decent rifle you can be a sniper even with ironsights... in fact the most famous and effective finnish sniper during WW2 didnt use a scope...

I'm almost there buying it... push me some more peops Very Happy
All the memories of how awesome RO was back then. Are plenty people playing Medik? I know only preorders can play atm (and deluxe edition at that it seems) but you know what i mean. Is there an indicator that it would be played a lot?

the thing with that is that even when "few" people played RO, most of the regular servers were constantly full since most people played on those... and theres been constant support from the developers in the form of patches and new content all the way up til last year at least...

but no, there will be no modern warfare/call of duty ammounts of people playing...
but to my eyes thats a good thing... mostly mature and serious people playing, not so many kids with emo outbreaks every time they die...
